The two-day cycling event serves as a primary fundraiser for Blood Cancer United, formerly known as The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Riders will embark from Concordia University on Saturday morning, with the course winding north toward Sturgeon Bay. The route offers varied challenges, including a 75-mile stretch to Red Arrow Park in Manitowoc, culminating in a lakeside celebration before the final push into Door County on Sunday.
Cyclists Gather in Wisconsin for 34th Annual Scenic Shore Bike Tour
More than a thousand riders are set to descend on Mequon, Wisconsin, from July 25–26 for the 34th Annual Scenic Shore Bike Tour. The event, hosted by Blood Cancer United, invites participants to tackle routes ranging from 25 to 150 miles along the Lake Michigan shoreline to benefit cancer research.

Organizers emphasize that the tour functions as a community-driven effort to sustain patient advocacy and medical research. This year, the ride honors Amira, a young survivor who was diagnosed with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia at age two and declared cancer-free in 2023. Coker Powell, executive vice president at Blood Cancer United, noted that the event aims to transform individual and team participation into tangible support for families navigating a cancer diagnosis. Participants conclude their journey at John Miles Park with a tailgate festival, marking the end of a tradition that has spanned over three decades.
