Quinn arrives at the St. Louis-based coal producer following a tenure as CEO of Aurelia Metals. His appointment brings three decades of industry experience to the company, spanning large-scale open cut and underground coal and manganese projects across Africa, the Americas, and Australia. Before leading Aurelia, he spent 25 years at BHP, where his portfolio included joint venture management, mine operations, and mergers and acquisitions strategy.
Bryan Quinn Tapped to Lead Peabody Global Operations
Bryan Quinn will take the helm as President of Global Operations at Peabody starting August 1, 2026. Based in Brisbane, Quinn joins the executive leadership team to oversee the company’s worldwide mining activities, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer as the firm looks to bolster its management structure.
Peabody CEO Jim Grech cited Quinn’s extensive background in sales, marketing, and site management as a primary driver for the hire. A graduate of the University of New South Wales with an Honours Degree in Mining Engineering, Quinn is tasked with sharpening the company’s operational efficiency as it continues to supply coal for global energy and steel production.
