Golden Melody Festival Expands Global Reach for Taiwanese Artists
Thirty international delegates from over 20 countries converged on Taipei this week, marking the largest foreign presence in the history of the Golden Melody Festival. The event served as a bridge for Taiwanese talent to secure cross-border partnerships and tap into global music markets via the GMA Conference.
Gurjeet Chima, Global Vice President at Penske Media Corporation, underscored the potential of Taiwanese emerging artists during the opening event. As the parent company of Billboard, PMC signaled a commitment to increasing the global visibility of local labels. Following the GMA Showcase, which featured nine Taiwanese acts alongside performers from Japan, South Korea, and Thailand, several artists were selected for the GMA Partnership Program. These musicians are now slated to perform at international venues including Sonik Philippines, Waves Vienna, and Iceland Airwaves to further cement their presence on the world stage.
