Kaiser Permanente Launches Integrated Care Network in Northern Nevada

Two new medical offices have opened in Reno and Sparks, marking the first phase of a strategic joint venture between Kaiser Permanente and Renown Health. By merging local hospital expertise with a prevention-focused model, the partnership aims to overhaul regional access to primary care, laboratory services, and pharmacy operations.

The facilities, located at the Del Monte Medical Offices in Reno and the Ion Medical Offices in Sparks, represent the initial rollout of a broader expansion effort. A third location in central Reno is slated for completion in late 2026. This infrastructure shift coincides with the rebranding of Hometown Health, now jointly owned by the two organizations, to operate under the Kaiser Permanente banner.

Trish Rodriguez, regional president for Kaiser Permanente in Nevada, stated that the partnership seeks to lower costs and improve patient outcomes through a more seamless, integrated experience. While patients will receive primary care from Kaiser Permanente physicians, the collaboration maintains access to Renown Health’s existing network of specialists and hospital services. Residents can begin selecting these new coverage options during the fall 2026 open enrollment period for the 2027 plan year.
