The appointment marks a strategic shift for the Providence-based firm, which is leveraging its OhmX electronic genome mapping platform to expand the accessibility of structural variant analysis in clinical research.

Dr. Chaubey brings over two decades of expertise in molecular diagnostics and cytogenomics to the company. Her mandate involves guiding the medical and scientific affairs strategy, working alongside key researchers to integrate the OhmX technology into broader diagnostic workflows. CEO Barrett Bready emphasized that her background in regulatory compliance and clinical-grade assay development is essential for transitioning the company's platform from a research-only tool toward more widespread clinical adoption.

Before this appointment, Dr. Chaubey held the role of Chief Medical Officer at Bionano Genomics, where she championed the adoption of optical genome mapping. Her career also includes leadership positions at PerkinElmer Genomics and the Greenwood Genetic Center, as well as academic roles at Augusta University. She is double board-certified in clinical cytogenetics and molecular genetics, and her work has contributed to over 100 scientific publications focused on detecting genomic changes that traditional sequencing methods often overlook.
