As industrial sectors like manufacturing, utilities, and oil and gas accelerate the deployment of private cellular networks, security teams are struggling to bridge the divide between traditional IT infrastructure and cellular-connected assets. These devices—ranging from field equipment to industrial endpoints—often operate in a blind spot where existing security tools fail to enforce consistent policies. OneLayer aims to solve this by providing a platform that integrates directly with the cellular layer, allowing for real-time device fingerprinting and behavioral profiling.
OneLayer Secures Gartner Hype Cycle Recognition for 5G Security
For the second consecutive year, Boston-based OneLayer has been named a Sample Vendor in the 5G Network Security category of the Gartner Hype Cycle for Private Networks for Industry, 2026. The designation highlights the firm's role in addressing security visibility gaps within private LTE and 5G cellular infrastructure.

CEO Dave Mor notes that the demand for securing cellular-connected devices has reached a critical stage, forcing enterprises to integrate these networks into their broader Zero Trust frameworks. By enforcing policies at the SIM and network level rather than relying on application-based controls, the company provides a method for managing assets that were previously invisible to security operations. This approach enables organizations to maintain policy enforcement across diverse IT, OT, and cellular environments as their private network deployments scale in complexity.
