Yarbo’s Pennsylvania Roadshow Focuses on Community Over Tech

When the Yarbo roadshow vehicle rolled into Pennsylvania neighborhoods this July, the company traded traditional sales pitches for a partnership with the nonprofit I Want to Mow Your Lawn, aiming to demonstrate that robotic innovation should serve human connection rather than just automate household chores.

The two-week initiative, which ran from June 28 through July 12, focused on supporting homeowners struggling with yard maintenance due to injury, illness, or age. By collaborating with Brian Schwartz’s organization—a group dedicated to providing free yard care to those in need—Yarbo installed equipment at four homes across the state. These recipients included a retired nurse, a former Marine, and others who had found the physical demands of yard work increasingly difficult to manage independently.

Beyond these private installations, the roadshow hosted pop-up events at locations like Peddler’s Village to coincide with the excitement surrounding the FIFA World Cup 2026. These gatherings were designed to foster neighborly interaction through games and shared outdoor space rather than product demonstrations. According to company communications director Cathy, the project was intended to explore the idea that by offloading routine outdoor maintenance to autonomous technology, residents regain the most valuable asset of all: time to spend with family and neighbors.
