The Toronto-based life sciences firm is currently focused on its lead small-molecule candidate, CardiolRx. This drug aims to modulate the inflammasome pathway, a key driver in inflammation and fibrosis linked to conditions like pericarditis, myocarditis, and heart failure. The company is currently advancing the pivotal Phase III MAVERIC trial for recurrent pericarditis, following a successful pilot study and an Orphan Drug Designation from the U.S. FDA.

Beyond the MAVERIC program, the company is evaluating the ARCHER study data regarding acute myocarditis, a condition that remains a primary cause of sudden cardiac death in individuals under age 35.
