The HAIRO platform manages the entire hair restoration workflow, from initial assessment to final graft placement. Using 20-megapixel binocular cameras, the system achieves sub-surface positioning accuracy of 0.1 millimeters. Its proprietary algorithm prioritizes multi-hair follicular units, hitting an extraction rate of 95% while selectively skipping single-hair units to maximize visual density for the patient. Capable of processing 2,400 follicles per hour, the robot uses needles ranging from 0.7 to 1.0 millimeters to minimize tissue trauma and bleeding.
Dr. Guanzhou Zhu of DCDC Hair Transplant Hospital noted the system’s stability and efficiency, emphasizing that it functions as a clinical partner rather than a replacement for surgeons. By offloading repetitive, precision-heavy tasks, the technology allows physicians to dedicate more focus to aesthetic design and patient care. Puncture Robotic maintains that the system keeps follicular-unit damage rates below 7.5%.
