Gray brings nearly three decades of experience in the nonprofit sector, having held senior leadership roles at major health organizations, including Blood Cancer United. Her career centers on building sustainable philanthropic programs that bridge the gap between donor engagement and scientific research. By joining HealthTree, she intends to integrate her background in development with her personal journey as a patient to help the foundation scale its impact.
Lisa Gray Joins HealthTree Foundation Board
After a diagnosis of multiple myeloma in 2023, fundraising veteran Lisa Gray is pivoting from professional strategy to patient advocacy. The HealthTree Foundation announced today that Gray, who previously managed $20 million in annual revenue at the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, will join its board of directors.

Jenny Ahlstrom, CEO and founder of the organization, noted that Gray’s dual perspective offers a rare advantage in guiding the foundation’s strategic direction. As HealthTree continues to expand its technology platform, which provides patients with direct access to their medical data, the leadership team expects Gray’s expertise to accelerate both fundraising capacity and patient-focused innovation.
