The site is expected to be fully operational by the second quarter of 2027. By establishing this hub, the company aims to slash project delivery times and foster deeper ties with North American clients. The location is strategically adjacent to AdvanceTEC, an Equans company specializing in high-tech cleanroom construction, allowing for a more integrated service model that combines process equipment with specialized sterile environments.
Pierre Guérin Expands Biotech Manufacturing into North Carolina
A new manufacturing plant is rising in Clayton, North Carolina, as Pierre Guérin plants its flag in the Research Triangle. The facility, which broke ground on July 7, 2026, positions the Equans subsidiary to tighten its supply chain for the booming U.S. pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.

Philippe Pierre, CEO of Pierre Guérin, noted that the investment is a direct response to the demand for localized support in the high-stakes world of biotech production. The expansion marks a significant milestone for the firm, which has grown from its 1949 roots as a stainless-steel dairy equipment manufacturer into a global provider of bioreactors and automated process lines. With this addition, the company now operates four manufacturing sites across France, Spain, China, and the United States, supporting its mission to meet the rigorous GMP requirements of the global life sciences industry.
