Construction Partners Expands Oklahoma Footprint with Ellsworth Deal

Construction Partners, Inc. has acquired Tulsa-based Ellsworth Construction, LLC, a strategic move that grants the Alabama-based infrastructure firm a deeper foothold in the rapidly growing Oklahoma City and Tulsa markets. The deal integrates Ellsworth’s specialized asphalt production and data center construction expertise into CPI’s existing Oklahoma subsidiary, Overland Corporation.

The acquisition brings a hot-mix asphalt plant in Broken Arrow and an additional site in Greater Oklahoma City under the CPI umbrella. These facilities are central to Ellsworth’s operations, which include paving, sitework, and utility services for both public and private clients. Nathan Ellsworth will remain at the helm of the business, ensuring continuity in customer relationships and regional operations.

CPI President and CEO Fred J. (Jule) Smith, III highlighted the cultural and operational synergy between the two firms, particularly in the competitive data center construction sector. This move bolsters CPI’s regional capacity, as it aligns Ellsworth’s local reputation with Overland Corporation’s existing portfolio. The integration allows CPI to scale its infrastructure maintenance and construction services across the state’s most active urban corridors.
