Tractian Secures FedRAMP High Status for Industrial AI Deployment

Federal and defense facilities often rely on outdated, reactive maintenance strategies, leaving equipment vulnerable to unexpected failure. Tractian aims to replace these calendar-based service schedules with real-time sensor data, enabling teams to detect mechanical issues before they disrupt mission readiness. This transition from emergency repairs to planned maintenance is designed to keep logistics, water systems, and defense production sites operational.

The certification process was accelerated through Knox Systems, which serves as a federal AI-managed cloud provider. By embedding Tractian’s platform within Knox’s authorized infrastructure, the company bypassed typical bureaucratic hurdles that delay cloud innovation in the public sector. The deployment supports various configurations, including AWS GovCloud, on-premise setups, and air-gapped environments for highly restricted facilities.

Igor Marinelli, CEO of Tractian, noted that the authorization allows federal teams to leverage industrial intelligence where it is needed most. This milestone builds upon the company’s existing ISO 27001 certification and SOC 2 Type II report. Irina Denisenko, CEO of Knox Systems, emphasized that minimizing unplanned downtime is vital for mission delivery, as equipment failure directly impacts the reliability of essential government services.
