Lighthouse Canton Hires Angelina Saik to Lead Southeast Asia Expansion

Angelina Saik, a veteran of Royal Bank of Canada and DBS Private Bank, has joined Lighthouse Canton as managing director of wealth management in Singapore. Her appointment signals an aggressive push by the investment group to capture the region’s surging private wealth and double its assets to $10 billion by 2027.

The firm currently manages over $5 billion in assets and is targeting significant growth across Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Brunei. According to internal projections citing IMF data, Southeast Asia is poised to expand at 4.3 percent this year, comfortably outperforming the 3.1 percent global growth forecast. Saik, who is fluent in five languages including Mandarin and Bahasa Melayu, will oversee efforts to meet the rising demand for independent institutional counsel in these emerging markets.

This leadership addition follows a period of rapid development for the decade-old firm. In November 2025, the group secured its first external capital injection, raising $40 million from investors including Peak XV Partners and the Qatar Insurance Company. Saik joins a senior team already tasked with regional growth, working alongside managing directors Charlene Lin, Stella Lau, and Vijay Bhatia. The firm has also recently expanded its footprint in the Middle East and India, appointing new managing directors in Dubai and Mumbai to bolster its international advisory capabilities.
