Decathlon Scales Digital Shelf Technology to 700 Locations

Sporting goods giant Decathlon has reached a milestone by deploying Vusion’s digital shelf solutions in 700 stores across 54 countries. This expansive rollout, completed in the second quarter of 2026, marks the retailer’s transition toward fully automated price management across its operations in Europe, South America, and the Asia-Pacific region.

The integration of Vusion’s electronic shelf labels (ESL) removes the manual labor of replacing paper price tags, allowing staff to shift their focus toward customer service and personalized advice. By synchronizing pricing updates instantly, the system eliminates discrepancies between the shelf and the point-of-sale terminal, a critical factor in maintaining consumer trust and operational accuracy.

Technically, the platform operates via the retailer’s existing Cisco Meraki infrastructure, which allowed for a seamless deployment without the need for additional networking hardware. Xavier Dété, VP of Innovation at Decathlon, noted that the project provides immediate, tangible benefits for store teams and shoppers alike. Sébastien Fourcy, SEVP EMEA at Vusion, emphasized that this partnership validates the company’s ability to scale high-performance retail technology within the competitive sporting goods sector.
