Senra Systems Raises $65 Million to Automate Aerospace Harness Production
With $65 million in new Series B funding, California-based Senra Systems is moving to eliminate the manual production bottlenecks currently stalling aerospace and defense manufacturing. The company, which recently brought a 80,000-square-foot facility online, now plans to scale its proprietary software-driven assembly to meet surging demand for complex wire harnesses.
To manage this expansion, the company has appointed former SpaceX CIO Ken Venner as its chief technology and product officer. Venner will oversee the integration of manufacturing infrastructure designed to train technicians in weeks rather than years. This push comes as the domestic defense industrial base faces significant pressure to accelerate production schedules amidst an industry-wide labor shortage and tightening supply chains.
