JetZero Eyes $3 Billion EXIM Backing for North Carolina Aerospace Hub

A potential $3 billion injection from the Export-Import Bank of the United States could soon anchor a massive aerospace manufacturing campus in Greensboro, North Carolina. JetZero signed a letter of interest at the Farnborough International Airshow, signaling a major push to scale domestic production capacity for next-generation aircraft.

The proposed financing, structured under EXIM’s Make More in America Initiative, would fund the construction of advanced manufacturing facilities and industrial systems. Following the June groundbreaking for Factory One, the project is positioned as a cornerstone for regional economic growth, with projections suggesting the site will generate 14,500 direct manufacturing roles and an additional 53,000 indirect jobs across the U.S. supply chain.

JetZero CEO Tom O'Leary described the agreement as a vital milestone in establishing a premier national aerospace hub. While the letter establishes a framework for evaluating loan guarantees and direct financing, it remains a preliminary step. Any final capital commitment is contingent upon rigorous due diligence, environmental reviews, and formal approval from the EXIM Board of Directors.
