The refurbishment targets the ship's most iconic areas, including the Grand Lobby and the Queens Room, which serves as the hub for Afternoon Tea and gala events. Cunard plans to elevate the Grill Suites experience with updated furnishings and refined design elements. Furthermore, the ship will add eight Britannia staterooms, including a new premium category featuring floor-to-ceiling windows for broader ocean views.
Cunard to Refit Queen Victoria for 2026 Season
The 2,000-guest Queen Victoria will undergo a three-week transformation at the Damen Shiprepair yard in Rotterdam this autumn. From October 17 to November 5, 2026, the vessel will receive interior updates across its signature suites and public spaces to modernize the guest experience before returning to service.
Reflecting a broader shift toward wellness in luxury travel, the vessel will debut The Pavilion Wellness Café. This addition brings a menu focused on plant-based cuisine, sustainably sourced fish, and meat to the ship, mirroring similar successful launches on the Queen Anne and Queen Elizabeth. President Katie McAlister noted the project aims to honor the ship's British heritage while refining its intimate character. Following the refit, the Queen Victoria is scheduled to resume service on November 7, 2026, for a program covering the Mediterranean, Norwegian Fjords, and Canary Islands.
