CoLab Secures FedRAMP High Certification with RISCPoint

The certification process, managed end-to-end by security advisory firm RISCPoint, covered the full spectrum of compliance requirements, from initial readiness assessments and architecture design to the implementation of security tooling. Validated under the NIST SP 800-53 control set, the authorization confirms that CoLab’s infrastructure meets the stringent security standards necessary to protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI). Schellman served as the third-party assessment organization for the audit.

For CoLab, this regulatory hurdle is a strategic expansion point. The platform uses AI to synthesize engineering knowledge and product data, allowing teams to reference design rationales from historical programs in real time. CEO Adam Keating noted that the company is now prepared to scale its operations into new defense partnerships. By meeting these federal requirements, CoLab can integrate its decision-velocity tools into long-term aerospace programs where design precision is critical to avoiding costly errors.
