Binance Eases VIP Access With Lower Thresholds and OTC Incentives

Starting July 21, 2026, Binance is lowering the barrier to entry for its VIP 3 status, slashing the required wallet assets from $3 million to $1 million. The exchange is also implementing a 4x multiplier for OTC spot volume, allowing high-volume traders to climb the VIP ladder more rapidly.

These adjustments build on the exchange's broader strategy to align its loyalty program with the evolving habits of institutional and high-net-worth participants. By integrating OTC spot trading volume into the standard spot volume metric, Binance removes the previous cap that limited OTC-based qualification to VIP 4. Traders can now leverage their OTC activity to reach the program's highest tier, VIP 9, provided they meet the remaining BNB balance requirements.

Catherine Chen, Head of VIP and Institutional at Binance, noted that the changes aim to create a more flexible progression path while keeping qualification criteria transparent. The platform will continue to process automatic tier upgrades daily at 08:00 UTC, assigning users the highest tier for which they qualify based on their combined wallet assets and trading activity. While these structural changes expand access to priority support and advanced insights, the existing fee schedule for VIP tiers remains unchanged.
