The state competition, hosted at the Ohkay Owingeh venue, highlighted the diverse professional backgrounds of its participants. Trinity Winters, an Albuquerque native and University of New Mexico graduate, balances her background in psychology and sociology with a commitment to early childhood education and future aspirations in legal policy reform. Joining her is Erin Heintschel, a 43-year-old personal trainer and nutrition coach who entered the pageant to emphasize that personal growth remains accessible at any stage of life. Currently, Heintschel is expanding her professional reach by pursuing a degree in Sign Language Interpreting to better serve the Deaf community.

Cody Mellor, the marketing director for the hotel, noted that the event serves as a platform to showcase the ambition of local residents. Following the selection, the focus shifts to the national stage, where Winters and Heintschel are scheduled to compete from October 20–25, 2026, at the Royalton Punta Cana Resort.
