Hop-A-Jet Expands Private Charter Fleet with Gulfstream G280
Fort Lauderdale-based Hop-A-Jet Worldwide Jet Charter has integrated a Gulfstream G280 into its fleet, marking a strategic move to diversify its offerings beyond its traditional Learjet and Challenger platforms. The aircraft is currently completing final FAA review for inclusion on the company’s Part 135 charter certificate.

Barry Ellis, president of Hop-A-Jet, noted that the move strengthens the firm's technical expertise and pilot training capabilities. Beyond the flight deck, the aircraft features a stand-up cabin and significant baggage capacity, targeting a segment of clients who prioritize interior space for both business and leisure travel. With this acquisition, Hop-A-Jet aims to accommodate a wider variety of owner and passenger requirements throughout 2026.
