Cristina Diaz Joins Crowell & Moring’s Financial Services Group
Cristina Diaz, the former general counsel of UBS Bank USA, has joined Crowell & Moring’s New York office as senior counsel. Her transition to the firm’s Financial Services Group follows a two-decade career defined by deep expertise in bank regulation, high-stakes compliance, and complex risk management within the financial sector.

Before this appointment, Diaz served as head of legal for UBS’s U.S. Remediation Management Office, where she managed significant regulatory matters, including the conversion of UBS Bank USA from a Utah industrial bank to an OCC national bank. Her background also includes an eight-year tenure at Davis Polk & Wardwell, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of both private practice and in-house regulatory strategy. Carlton Greene, co-chair of the firm’s Financial Services Group, noted that Diaz’s specific experience with bank charters and enforcement actions makes her a strategic addition to their expanding practice.
