BNI Expands Global Referral Network with 15 New Market Launches
Business Network International, the world’s largest referral organization, closed the second quarter of 2026 with a surge in global expansion and member activity. The Charlotte-based firm entered two new countries and secured 15 additional market territories, signaling a sustained appetite for its franchise model among small business owners worldwide.

Domestic development remains a core focus, with the company awarding new territories in California, Virginia, Oregon, Michigan, Florida, and Indiana. Similar expansion occurred internationally in Belgium, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. Michael Walchonski, Chief Development Officer, attributed the success to the resilience of the franchise model and the demand for structured, relationship-based growth tools. CEO Mary Kennedy Thompson noted that the organization is already working on a robust pipeline of future markets, aiming to maintain this momentum through the remainder of 2026.
