Before joining Maverix, Jung spent over a decade at Medtronic, where she oversaw the launch of ten cardiovascular products, and held long-term sales roles at Boston Scientific.
Maverix Medical Appoints Carla Jung as CEO
Carla Jung, a veteran with 29 years of medical technology experience, has been named CEO of Maverix Medical. The appointment signals a strategic shift for the Menlo Park-based company as it scales its lung cancer diagnostic platform and expands its commercial presence following the 2025 acquisition of Thoracent.

The leadership transition also includes the promotion of former COO David Beylik to Executive Chair and Brian Lynch to Chief Revenue Officer and President of the Medical Device Division. With the new executive team in place, Maverix aims to refine its focus on the entire continuum of lung cancer care, from early detection to advanced treatment options. Jung holds an MBA from Columbia University and a BA from Villanova University.
