Louis Roederer Enters Burgundy with Acquisition of Domaine Pierre Damoy

The acquisition brings nearly eight hectares of prestigious Grand Cru land into the fold, covering the iconic appellations of Chambertin, Chambertin-Clos de Bèze, and Chapelle-Chambertin. Alongside these sites, the deal includes Clos Tamisot, a notable monopole vineyard in Gevrey-Chambertin. The estate is particularly prized for its old vines and significant genetic diversity, assets that align with the long-term stewardship philosophy championed by the Roederer family.

Frédéric Rouzaud, CEO of Louis Roederer, described the investment as a reflection of the house's commitment to patient craftsmanship and deep-rooted land heritage. By adding the estate to their global network—which spans from California to the Rhône Valley—the group aims to preserve the singular identity of the Damoy label while applying their own rigorous standards of precision. This partnership serves to consolidate the Roederer Collection’s presence as a curator of independent, high-identity wine estates worldwide.
