The new device, which is compatible with the entire library of over 1,500 physical Tonies and 3,500 digital titles, aims to capture families seeking mindful alternatives to traditional screen time. By launching the Lite version, CEO Tobias Wann stated the company intends to build a multi-device strategy where different hardware options serve specific family needs while remaining connected to the same content platform. Unlike the flagship Toniebox 2, which includes interactive gaming features and advanced bedtime settings, the Lite model focuses on core listening capabilities in a more travel-friendly form factor.
Tonies Expands Audio Ecosystem with Compact Toniebox Lite
Palo Alto-based audio platform tonies is lowering the barrier to its screen-free ecosystem with the launch of the Toniebox Lite, a compact, lightweight device priced at $79.99 in the U.S. and $99.99 in Canada, designed to offer a portable alternative to the company's flagship Toniebox 2.

Pre-orders for the device are available starting July 27 through the company’s website and Walmart, with in-store availability scheduled for August 22. This release marks a significant acceleration in the firm's hardware innovation cycle, coming just one year after the debut of the Toniebox 2. Beyond North America, the company plans to introduce the device to markets in the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand by fall 2026. The expansion comes as the business reports strong growth, with fiscal 2025 revenues reaching EUR 630 million and projections for 2026 exceeding EUR 760 million.
