Zakhar Morozov Joins Greenberg Traurig’s San Francisco Tax Practice
Greenberg Traurig has recruited tax attorney Zakhar "Zak" Morozov as a shareholder in its San Francisco office. Moving from Kirkland & Ellis, Morozov brings deep expertise in federal income tax structuring and transaction support for corporate mergers and acquisitions to the firm’s growing Bay Area presence.

Executive Vice President G. Michelle Ferreira noted that Morozov’s arrival bolsters the firm’s ability to provide sophisticated tax counsel to private equity sponsors. The move is part of a broader push to capture market share in the Bay Area, where demand for cross-border transactional support remains high. A graduate of Harvard Law School, Morozov is admitted to practice in both California and Texas, further strengthening the firm's national tax capabilities.
