Now, his son Tom and grandson Nick are honoring that legacy with the launch of Stillman's Sonder, a new 10-year whiskey collection distilled in Indiana and perfected in Wisconsin.
Nick Maas led an 18-month refinement process to elevate the stocks. The bourbon, finished in Andean and American oak, recently earned a Double Gold Medal at the 2026 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. The American Single Malt underwent a complex maturation journey, moving through casks that previously held Wisconsin brandy, Cognac, and Calvados. The resulting bottles, adorned with mid-century modern designs, are now available through the brand's website and select retail outlets.
