Julius Baer Partners with Dubai to Attract Global Wealth

With private wealth entities in the Dubai International Financial Centre surging by 61 percent annually, Swiss lender Julius Baer has formalized a strategic agreement with the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism to act as a bridge for international family offices and business owners relocating to the emirate.

The partnership leverages Julius Baer’s footprint across 60 locations to funnel global clients into Dubai’s expanding ecosystem. By aligning with the emirate’s D33 economic agenda, the bank aims to solidify its two-decade presence in the region, positioning itself as a primary conduit for capital seeking stability outside traditional markets. The initiative is managed by the Dubai Economic Development Corporation, reflecting the city’s aggressive push to capture a larger share of global private wealth.

This expansion follows a period of intense growth for the local sector, where the number of family-related foundations climbed to 1,115 by the end of 2025. Competition remains fierce between the Dubai International Financial Centre and Abu Dhabi Global Market as both jurisdictions refine their regulatory regimes to attract international capital. For Julius Baer, the move complements a strong fiscal performance, having recently posted a record net profit of SFr673 million for the first half of the year.
