Total revenue for the quarter reached $587.3 million, down from $621.4 million in 2025, a shift the company attributed to recent divestitures and disposals. While organic subscription revenue saw a modest 0.7% uptick, this growth was dampened by a 30.1% decline in transactional revenue as customers transitioned toward subscription-based models. Despite the bottom-line pressure, CEO Matti Shem Tov emphasized that the company’s ongoing 'Value Creation Plan' remains on track, focusing on debt reduction and structural simplification.
Clarivate Reports Q2 Loss Following Goodwill Impairment Charge
London-based information services firm Clarivate Plc posted a net loss of $268.6 million for the second quarter of 2026, a sharp decline compared to the $72 million loss reported in the same period last year, primarily due to a $221.7 million non-cash goodwill impairment charge.

Clarivate successfully reduced its total debt by more than $200 million during the first half of the year through opportunistic repurchases and cash flow management. The company reaffirmed its full-year 2026 financial outlook, anticipating adjusted EBITDA between $980 million and $1.04 billion. The ongoing divestiture of the Life Sciences & Healthcare segment remains a central piece of this strategy, intended to sharpen the company's focus and improve its recurring revenue mix.
