Girl Scouts Launch Statewide Road Trip to Debut Specialty License Plate
A caravan of Girl Scouts is traversing the state from Atlanta to Savannah to mark the launch of a new Georgia specialty license plate. The "Licensed to Lead" journey, which began Wednesday at the Trefoil Trail Mural, serves as a high-profile kickoff for the organization’s statewide fundraising initiative.
Proceeds from the specialty tags will directly fund programming for nearly 40,000 members across the two councils. Motorists can currently pre-order the plates for a $25 fee, or secure a low-number plate for $50, with official distribution slated for 2027. The initiative links the heritage of the Girl Scouts' founding in Savannah with modern efforts to expand resources for girls across 122 Georgia counties.
