The Claytons will retain a significant stake in the properties, ensuring continuity for both staff and guests. Local operators Carmen Simpher and Jay Moore remain at the helm of the businesses, preserving the operational culture that defined the sites as regional destinations. This deal marks the 38th and 39th acquisitions for Streamside, which has expanded rapidly since its founding in 2023.
Clayton Family Partners with Streamside to Expand Townsend Portfolio
Chelly and Kevin Clayton have entered a long-term investment partnership with Nashville-based Streamside RV Resorts & Campgrounds, transitioning ownership of four prominent Townsend businesses. The move brings Little Arrow Outdoor Resort, Little Arrow Base Camp, River Rat, and Burger Master under the umbrella of the growing national outdoor hospitality operator.

For the Claytons, the partnership serves as a platform to refocus their resources on other local ventures, including Company Distilling and the Vee Hollow Mountain Bike Park. John Cascarano, CEO of Streamside, noted that the agreement aims to bolster existing teams with national resources while maintaining the specific character of the Great Smoky Mountains locations. The family plans to remain active residents in the Walland area, continuing their long-standing commitment to the local outdoor lifestyle.
