Feiler brings a background that spans private funds, senior operations, and in-house leadership. During his tenure at Blackstone, he served as Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of the firm’s Multi-Strategy Investing platform, where he managed product development and the growth of a multi-billion-dollar business. His move follows the recent appointment of Robert Rizzo as Global Co-Head of the Private Equity Group, signaling a sustained push by the firm to expand its footprint in the private capital sector.

Firm leadership views the hire as a way to provide clients with a distinct commercial perspective on the challenges faced by asset managers. Ira Coleman, Chair of McDermott Will & Schulte, noted that Feiler’s experience provides a unique edge in navigating complex investment products. Feiler, who began his legal career at Schulte, will focus on fund formation, governance, regulatory compliance, and the structural design of investment vehicles, applying his dual experience as both external counsel and an internal operating executive.
