Developed by a team of thermal specialists and sommeliers, the system addresses a long-standing challenge in the beverage industry: the lack of control over serving temperatures. While standard cooling often leads to inconsistent profiles, this device offers degree-by-degree accuracy. By holding spirits or wine at their ideal thermal point, the system allows delicate compounds to emerge, ensuring that the first pour matches the quality of the final glass.
LACARAF Debuts Precision Thermal System for Wine and Spirits
A new device targeting the luxury hospitality market promises to redefine wine service by maintaining specific temperatures between 43°F and 72°F. LACARAF combines space-derived thermal technology with handcrafted crystal decanters, aiming to unlock aromatic profiles through precise control and natural aeration rather than traditional refrigeration methods.
The hardware includes a custom 750 ml crystal decanter, a base unit, and two thermal capsules housed in a wooden transport case. Its application extends beyond private collections into professional environments, having already been utilized in French sommelier competitions to ensure consistent sensory evaluation standards. Beyond simple cooling, the unit functions as an aeration tool, designed to enhance the depth and character of premium bottles without the dilution risks associated with ice or external additives.
