Foristel Wastewater Plant Doubles Capacity with Concrete Upgrade
The Incline Village Wastewater Plant in Foristel, Missouri, officially commissioned its expanded facilities this July, successfully doubling daily treatment capacity to 120,000 gallons. To address the corrosive environment of constant effluent exposure, engineers integrated crystalline waterproofing technology directly into the facility's new cast-in-place concrete structures.
Patrick O'Brien, Western Region Sales Manager for Penetron USA, noted that the concrete mix for all primary structures was treated with PENETRON ADMIX SB. Supplied by St. Charles County Concrete, this admixture ensures the structures remain impermeable under heavy hydrostatic pressure. Beyond immediate water resistance, the crystalline technology provides a self-healing mechanism designed to seal future microcracks, effectively extending the service life of the infrastructure against chemical degradation.
