Mumbai-based pharmaceutical giant Lupin has officially entered the U.S. market with its Sugammadex Injection, securing FDA approval for the generic version of Merck’s Bridion. The rollout targets both adult and pediatric surgical patients, offering a bioequivalent alternative for the reversal of neuromuscular blockade induced by rocuronium or vecuronium bromide.
Lupin operates 15 manufacturing sites and seven research centers worldwide, supporting its distribution network across more than 100 countries. This latest regulatory clearance underscores the company's focus on complex generics and biotechnology, further diversifying its presence in the American healthcare sector.
