Avocados From Mexico Debuts AI Engine to Streamline Kitchen Prep

Following a record-breaking season where Americans consumed 2.76 billion pounds of imported fruit, Avocados From Mexico has launched AVO.AI. The conversational platform marks the produce industry's first custom answer engine, designed to provide consumers with immediate, brand-verified guidance on everything from ripeness checks to complex recipe substitutions.

While competitors often rely on generic third-party integrations, this new tool functions as a dedicated digital sous-chef. By training the model exclusively on the company’s internal library of educational content, the brand bypasses the clutter of unverified internet advice. Users can now pose specific queries—such as how to safely pit a fruit or preserve a halved avocado—and receive precise, safety-focused instructions.

Alvaro Luque, President and CEO, describes the move as a shift toward making daily kitchen life more intuitive. Beyond convenience, the platform serves as a strategic intelligence tool. By analyzing anonymized user questions, the company intends to refine its broader content strategy and address real-time consumer needs. Kristian Bottini, CEO of 270B, which helped engineer the system, noted that the technology is designed for genuine dialogue, anchoring its responses within a curated, brand-approved database to maintain accuracy. The engine is live now, signaling a long-term shift in how the organization plans to bridge the gap between agriculture and consumer-facing technology.
