The 16.1% year-over-year revenue increase reflects a broader momentum in client engagements, highlighted by a $650 million strategic services agreement with a major global technology firm. CEO Sandeep Kalra noted that the company’s focus remains on integrating enterprise context into AI models, a strategy the firm terms its 3C framework. Beyond organic growth, Persistent is pursuing inorganic expansion, recently signing a business combination agreement with Frankfurt-listed digital engineering firm Nagarro to broaden its geographic and industrial reach.
Persistent Systems Hits Record $1.15 Billion in Quarterly TCV
Persistent Systems reported its twenty-fifth consecutive quarter of revenue growth, closing the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 with $452.4 million in revenue. The company’s performance was anchored by a record-breaking $1.15 billion in total contract value, signaling strong demand for large-scale digital engineering and AI-driven enterprise transformation services.

Financial results for the quarter ending June 30, 2026, showed an EBIT margin of 16.0%, with EBIT rising 32.7% compared to the previous year. While the company saw growth in revenue and contract value, profit before and after tax experienced a slight quarter-over-quarter decline, which management attributed to foreign exchange losses. The firm’s client wins spanned diverse sectors, including a massive project to consolidate 3,000 bots for a U.S. healthcare provider and a ledger reengineering project for a multinational bank. These deals underscore a shift toward platform-driven modernization, with the company securing new specializations with partners like Databricks and Kong to maintain its competitive edge in the crowded digital services market.
