National Lacrosse League Taps YinzCam to Build AI-Driven Digital Future

The National Lacrosse League is launching a league-wide digital overhaul, appointing YinzCam as its official technology engine to unify fan data, mobile experiences, and grassroots programming. This partnership aims to bridge the gap between professional box lacrosse and academic AI research, beginning with a new mobile app launch this November.

The collaboration marks a shift in how the league manages its digital footprint, centralizing fan engagement through a single sign-on system and a unified customer data platform. Starting with the 2026 NLL Faceoff Weekend, the league will roll out rebuilt websites, mobile applications, and connected jersey technology equipped with NFC sensors. These updates are intended to provide the league with granular insights into fan behavior while offering partners more precise campaign measurement tools.

Beyond consumer-facing apps, the league is positioning itself as a live testing ground for emerging sports technology. By integrating with Priya Narasimhan’s Game Research AI Lab at Carnegie Mellon University, the partnership will explore AI-driven applications for officiating, player performance tracking, and automated broadcast production. This move represents a rare integration of professional sports operations with high-level academic research, aiming to turn the league into a hub for sports-tech innovation. The initiative extends to the youth level via the NLL UnBOXed program, ensuring that digital connectivity reaches community participants alongside professional spectators.
