American Century Investments Trims Fees on Four ETFs

Kansas City-based asset manager American Century Investments has lowered management fees across four of its exchange-traded funds, effective August 1, 2026. The move impacts both municipal bond and income-focused funds, marking the latest attempt by the $345 billion firm to sharpen its competitive edge in the active ETF market.

The reductions range from two to eight basis points. The American Century Multisector Floating Income ETF (FUSI) saw the most significant adjustment, dropping its management fee by eight basis points to 0.19%. Meanwhile, the American Century Diversified Municipal Bond ETF (TAXF) and the American Century Quality Diversified International ETF (QINT) received cuts of four and six basis points, respectively. The American Century California Municipal Bond ETF (CATF) also saw a two-basis-point reduction.

Victor Zhang, chief investment officer at American Century, characterized the decision as a commitment to investor value. The firm, which entered the ETF space in 2018, currently ranks as the fourth-largest issuer of active ETFs in the United States. Investors should note that the Multisector Floating Income ETF is slated for a rebranding to the American Century Ultrashort Income ETF on September 14, 2026.
