The project represents a calculated gamble by CSEN to capture the attention of Gen Z and Millennial viewers who have largely abandoned legacy sports broadcasts. By blending high-production viral aesthetics with the unpredictable energy of Vine-era humor, the network aims to replace stale commentary with meme-first content designed for social media consumption.
CSEN Bets on Chaos With New Extreme Sports Series Sports Hurts
Jackass alumni Poopies and Zackass are trading traditional stunts for athletic agony in Sports Hurts, an eight-episode series from the Creator Sports Entertainment Network. Directed by Royal Malloy, the production enlists viral creator Houston Jones and a rotating roster of iconic athletes to push the limits of physical comedy.

Athletes including Cam Newton, Kurt Angle, Rampage Jackson, and Ryan Sheckler serve as the architects of this chaos, tasking the cast with enduring the most grueling moments in sports. The production also features multi-platinum artist Lil Pump, who acts as the internal conscience for a cast navigating increasingly dangerous challenges. According to CSEN President and CCO Derrick Brown, the series intends to occupy a space that is larger, more dangerous, and distinctly different from standard reality programming.
