The transaction, which includes operations in both Illinois and Texas, marks a significant step in Vector’s mission to scale its Division 10 distribution network. As part of the transition, Prestige co-owner Adi Klinghofer will step into the role of Chief Operating Officer at Vector.
Vector Building Products Acquires Prestige Distribution
Dallas-based Vector Building Products has acquired Northbrook-based Prestige Distribution, a move designed to consolidate its market share in the Division 10 commercial specialty sector. This strategic expansion integrates Prestige’s technical design and installation capabilities into Vector’s growing North American platform, backed by private equity firm Centre Lane Partners.
John Krawczyk, CEO of Vector, noted that the acquisition preserves the entrepreneurial culture that defined Prestige while leveraging Vector’s infrastructure to fuel further growth. David Waxman, founder of Prestige, emphasized that the partnership provides the necessary resources to expand service capabilities while maintaining the firm's focus on customer delivery. The acquisition follows Vector’s 2025 launch by Centre Lane Partners, which previously established the platform through a partnership with Spectrum Resource.
