The litigation targets the period between November 6, 2025, and May 6, 2026, centering on claims that the gym chain misled shareholders regarding the effectiveness of its marketing campaigns and the viability of its growth strategy. Planet Fitness Investors Face September Deadline in Securities Lawsuit
A 31% single-day stock collapse has triggered a class-action lawsuit against Planet Fitness, Inc., as investors seek to recover losses following the company’s May 2026 disclosure of stalled member growth and the abrupt withdrawal of its long-term financial projections.
Legal representatives at Levi & Korsinsky, LLP note that the decline followed a cascade of negative updates, including a reduction in same-club sales growth expectations to 1% and a halt to the national Black Card price increase. The complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire, names CEO Colleen Keating and former CFO Jay Stasz as defendants, alleging they maintained an overly optimistic outlook while the company struggled with internal and external headwinds. Investors who suffered losses during the specified period have until September 14, 2026, to file for lead plaintiff status.
