The minority investment, made through ABB Electrification Ventures, connects ABB’s expertise in electrification and digital grid management with LevelTen’s data-driven platform for power purchase agreements. LevelTen has facilitated over 20 gigawatts of clean energy transactions across North America and Europe, providing a digital infrastructure that ABB now intends to leverage for its global industrial client base. Financial terms of the deal remain private.
Stuart Thompson, president of ABB’s Electrification Service division, noted that securing long-term clean energy at stable prices has been a missing link in their current service portfolio. The collaboration allows ABB to offer a more comprehensive decarbonization strategy, moving beyond simple energy matching to address site-specific requirements for battery storage and microgrids. For LevelTen, the partnership provides a gateway into ABB’s deep-rooted relationships within the manufacturing and industrial sectors, particularly in the Asia-Pacific market.
