The Franklin Lakes, New Jersey-based firm posted adjusted diluted earnings per share of $3.23 for the quarter ending June 30, 2026. CEO Tom Polen credited the performance to momentum across key growth platforms and the ongoing execution of the company’s "Excellence Unleashed" strategy. This initiative focuses on simplifying operations and reallocating resources toward high-value innovation, such as the recently launched Elyra Thulium Fiber Laser System for kidney stone care.
Becton Dickinson Reports Growth as 'New BD' Strategy Takes Hold
Medical technology giant Becton Dickinson reported third-quarter revenue of $5 billion, a 5.4% increase over the previous year, as the company marks its first full quarter operating under a streamlined structure following the spin-off of its Biosciences and Diagnostic Solutions business earlier this year.

Financial health metrics showed notable improvement, with year-to-date cash from continuing operations rising 33.3% to $2.1 billion. In light of these results, the company has updated its fiscal 2026 guidance, projecting revenue growth toward the high end of its previous range and raising the midpoint of its adjusted diluted earnings per share forecast. Despite the positive outlook, the company cautioned that macroeconomic volatility, including potential shifts in healthcare spending and international trade policies, remains a factor in its long-term planning.
