Australia expands Pacific Women in Cyber initiative to 2028
Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade has tapped Cambridge Global Advisors for a second phase of the Pacific Women in Cyber initiative, aiming to bolster digital security expertise among women and girls across Tonga, Samoa, and Fiji through a program running until July 2028.
Jessica Hunter, Australia’s Ambassador for Cyber Affairs and Critical Technology, described the project as a move toward a more resilient regional workforce. CGA Chairman Douglas Lute added that the extended timeline provides the necessary space to solidify internships and professional connections. This expansion follows previous regional work by the firm, which has implemented similar training frameworks across the Marshall Islands, Papua New Guinea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines.
