The campaign, developed with the creative agency Someplace, maps the evolution of sneaker culture through pivotal historical touchstones. From the 1985 debut of the red-and-black Air Jordan 1 to the enduring popularity of the Nike Air Force 1 and Converse Weapon, the film frames Foot Locker as the constant witness to these shifts. The brand’s signature Striper employee appears throughout, serving as a symbolic link between the retailer and the communities driving the market.
Foot Locker Reclaims Its Heritage in New Brand Campaign
Method Man narrates a two-minute cinematic anthem for Foot Locker’s new brand platform, "It Always Will Be Foot Locker." The campaign honors fifty years of sneaker history, anchoring the retailer’s identity as the persistent cultural thread connecting generations of enthusiasts to the iconic footwear that defined their personal journeys.

Beyond the hero film, Foot Locker is expanding its narrative reach through "Sole Stories," a 36-episode documentary series produced in partnership with Hartbeat. This project shifts focus from commercial products to personal history, highlighting creators and tastemakers who share the memories attached to their most significant pairs of shoes. According to Brett O'Brien, the retailer's Chief Marketing Officer, this initiative serves as a love letter to the customers who built the culture alongside the brand. The campaign will roll out across broadcast, digital, and in-store channels throughout the fall.
