Swedish Orphan Biovitrum and Innate Pharma have entered a strategic partnership to launch the TELLOMAK-3 Phase 3 trial for lacutamab, a first-in-class antibody treatment. The collaboration aims to secure accelerated approval for the drug in patients suffering from Sézary syndrome, an aggressive form of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma.
Financial incentives for Innate Pharma could reach up to 580 million USD, including 40 million USD in near-term development milestones and 465 million USD tied to future regulatory and commercial successes. Additionally, Innate is set to receive tiered double-digit royalties on net sales. The treatment has already secured Fast Track and Breakthrough Therapy designations from the FDA, alongside PRIME status from the EMA, underscoring the high unmet medical need for patients with Sézary syndrome and mycosis fungoides.
