The core of the new technology is the AcoustIQ system, which the company claims achieves 91% precision in identifying changing soundscapes. By integrating four-microphone beamforming with AI-driven noise reduction, the devices distinguish between distracting background clutter and the voices users intend to prioritize. According to company data, this configuration offers an 88% improvement in accuracy compared to previous premium market offerings.
Beltone Launches AI-Powered Hearing Aids to Combat Background Noise
Following the frustrations of navigating noisy restaurants and crowded family gatherings, Beltone has unveiled its Illuminate line of premium hearing aids. The new devices utilize deep neural network artificial intelligence and a sophisticated environmental classifier to automatically adjust sound processing, aiming to clarify speech in real-time.

David Molella, president of Beltone Hearing, stated that the goal is to provide a seamless experience where users can participate in meetings or social events without manually adjusting their technology. The system operates autonomously, balancing noise suppression with power management to ensure the devices maintain performance throughout the day. The product range, which includes rechargeable micro-receiver-in-ear models and various custom-made styles, hits the U.S. market on August 20.
